Medical Qi Gong and the Treatment of Trauma with Paul Fraser and Dimitri Mougdis Montreal, Quebec — September 18-20, 2015
Medical Qi Gong and the Treatment of Trauma with Paul Fraser and Dimitri Mougdis in Montreal, Quebec September 18-20, 2015
Come join us for this two-part Advanced Qi Gong Series, focusing on the treatment of trauma. We will explore how traumatic experiences can prevent healing energy from penetrating the body and mind, resulting in an inability to heal physically and emotionally, or to manifest one’s own potential. Through theory, Qi Cultivation and Healing Techniques, we will explore how to restore and strengthen a person’s Life-enhancing Qi, release shock and return to a state of health and balance.
In this course we will examine the three aspects of the soul: Life Force, The Roaming Spirit, and The Divine Spirit, discussing their respective roles in health, well-being, and personal growth. We will learn strategies for healing trauma and its effects on the body, mind, and soul by cultivating our own personal Life-enhancing Qi and by learning specific treatment protocols that can be applied to healing others. The practice of Returning Tai Chi Chuan, also known as Pangu Tai Chi, will be the focus of this personal practice. This form is especially good at cultivating the kind of calm and internal strength needed to do this work.
The theory, qi cultivation practices, and strategies for healing trauma in this course are based on ancient Chinese and contemporary principles. Qi theory recognizes that all things, substances, experiences and knowledge act as conduits of vibration. These vibrations, once assimilated though the nervous system, either promote and enhance Life Force or weaken and negate it. When traumatic experiences occur, however, these vibrations are often so powerful and shocking that they have more strength than a person’s healthy Qi, and serve to cover or mute a person’s Life Force, preventing healing and personal growth.
The treatment protocols we will be studying are called The 12 Spirits, 13 Ghosts, and 14 Dragons which refer to specific acupuncture points in the body that expel harmful, life-negating vibrations, while strengthening life and evolution-enhancing vibrations.
14 Dragons: points to expel the vibration of the original trauma.
13 Ghosts: points to expel the vibrations resulting from altered perceptions and thought processes resulting from trauma.
12 Spirits: points to strengthen Life Force, restoring it to its rightful, indomitable state: calm, creativity, clarity, and balance.
