Nothing but Gains in Gainseville for Pangu Shengong Event — by Marina from Montreal
It took me quite a while to get to Gainseville to attend the Pangu Shengong mini-retreat in February in 2016. 19 hours to be exact. No matter. I felt nothing but gains in Gainseville.
In fact, I was surprised to discover that I only felt an increasing compassion envelop my heart the more I was flight troubled and flight delayed. After all, Master Ou, I recognized, knows most every airport and readies to this transit adventure all the time. More, he does it to see us!! He does it for us!! What’s my excuse for a little suffering once every year or two? Instantly, I felt a great warming quiet and expansive love fill me and carry me in the effort to see him. I relaxed into the experience feeling his compassion. The fellowship of Pangu energy is so comforting, sustaining, and strong. It’s palpable presence had me feeling so safe to get there. My challenges started to become easier and fun.
While there, I learned the asset of taking on, participating in and learning the extra practices of Pangu tai chi and Pangu yoga that became a fun experience of increased fellowship and a helpful goldmine for me to more ably absorb and move through the fruit of Master Ou’s seminars all the more richly and deeply. I was pleased to see I could work hard and enjoy a peaceful mindset for so many rich hours without any fatigue. I was delighted to enjoy laughter and skill building and a broad, loving feeling with so many wonderful others, too.
The moment that struck me the most was when Master Ou, in reply to a question during classes, acknowledged that he feels frustration and anger sometimes, most recently on his own travel adventures to get to Gainseville, also!! He had many laugh that he was as human and vulnerable at times as anyone. Yet forgiveness to what is and a peaceful mindset, he said, helped remedy the experience exponentially. I imbibed this profundity many times over throughout his wonderful classes.
The weekend retreat, especially the teacher advanced classes, was great fun. It was also delicious with Master Ou’s cooking. How he managed it all with Winnie’s assistance and student help on two suite stoves added so much loving taste to the dishes. The organization to the weekend was also extra sublime.
Many thanks to the organizers and the beautiful people who further supported and expanded my growing while there to enjoy and learn from Anisha, Vincent, Olivia and Master Ou. I wouId do it all again in a heartbeat.
