On October 3, 2012, after months of practicing, I did something I never imagined I could. I sang and chanted on stage in a language I don't speak to 2,000 Chinese students. While actually reciting in Cantonese surprised many of the Pangu students, they were also incredibly moved to see a foreigner expressing deep sentiments through their own language.
